Aims and Scope

   Journal of Medical Education seeks to promote research and analysis into issues in medical education in Iran and outside Iran, particularly in the Eastern Mediterranean Region. Our main purpose is to provide a journal that will publicize a wide variety of research into medical education from this region to a large readership. We also seek to act as an inter- national forum for the communication of ideas on theory and practice.

   The journal is published four times a year by the Educational Development Center (EDC) of Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and Health Services. The EDC is a WHO collaborating center for the Eastern Mediterranean Region and its main role lies in promoting medical education for the better delivery of health care.

   The journal publishes all articles which cover undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education including: curriculum development, course design, teacher training, teaching and learning issues, assessment and evaluation.

The Journal is recognized by Ministry of Health and Medical education, Undersecretary for Research, as a distinguished scientific journal.

Authors whose papers are published in the journal can enjoy it as a privilege for their promotion
